Some time ago we heard for the first time that “you have to drink two litres of liquids a day.” Then we all started drinking water, water and more water. Until we understood that it was water to the only thing the experts were referring to, but all kinds of liquids ingested throughout the day. In these liquids we include coffee, juices, tea and even foods rich in water such as vegetables. The daily consumption of so much water becomes useless, as it increases the consumption of other products such as, for example, plastic bottles. A few years ago we didn’t see any plastic bottles, now everyone carries their bottle. And this is fantastic, because drinking water is very healthy, the problem is in what is behind. Through this false myth we have been instilled with notions such as that drinking a lot of water helps to lose weight, which is not entirely true.
We do not need to drink two litres of water a day
Drinking water is healthy, as well as being a vital necessity, because without water we do not live. But this does not mean that we should drink excessively, because everything in excess ends up being negative for our body. You have to drink two litres of liquids a day, including water, of course, coffee, tea, juices and different drinks that we can drink throughout our day. We can not drink two litres of water and, in addition, consume more drink separately, because that can harm our health.
Another of the big problems is that around this false legend many others are created that can play against us. It is believed that water contributes to losing weight. This is not entirely true. What happens is that when we drink a lot of water, we go more to the bathroom, which causes us to expel retained liquids, which in many organisms are the cause, among others, of high weight. What we have to achieve is to have a healthy diet, where we eat everything and drink what is necessary, never passing, but not without arriving, because liquids are very important.
