The HD diet is based on foods rich in soluble fiber, known as hydrolyphics, hence its acronym HD (hydrolyphic diet). In addition to making a weekly menu around this type of products, it is very important to avoid the consumption of certain foods called infrequent, such as flour, processed foods, saturated fats or added sugars.
With this in mind, you can eat practically everything, since the HD diet allows you to eat foods such as eggs or salmon, which are rich in quality protein, and cereals rich in fiber, such as rice or oatmeal. You must remember that foods quite rich in water, such as tomatoes, watermelon or cucumbers, do not have much soluble fiber, so they do not satisfy hunger so much. That is why it is essential to combine them with the so-called HD foods.
The American nutritionist Keren Gilbert, creator of this popular diet, points out, as we have advanced before, that the key food that can not be missing in this plan to lose weight are chia seeds, rich in soluble fiber. A single chia seed is capable of absorbing nothing more and nothing less than 12 times its weight in water. The ways to incorporate chia seeds into the diet are varied: with yogurt, with cereals or in a fruit smoothie.
Apart from food, the creator recommends continuously drinking plenty of water throughout the day, since the key is to purify the whole body to the maximum and eliminate liquids and toxins that accumulate in the body throughout the day.
